Schwarzenegger is back for ‘The Legend of Conan’

Ever since his departure from politics, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been hitting it hard in the movie world. It started off with playing bigger roles in The Expendables sequels. Then some solo original action flicks like Sabotage and The Last Stand. I didn’t get a chance to see Maggie, but I heard it was actually pretty good and Arnold proves that he can actually do more than blowing shit up. Not that we don’t love seeing him blowing shit up! It’s always a spectacle!

His latest film is the latest installment to the franchise that helped him grown into an international superstar: Terminator Genisys.

Once he’s done with ‘Terminator’, Arnold will focus on another franchise that helped him launch his epic career. It was recently announced that the ‘Conan The Barbarian’ saga would be seeing new light in cinemas in the future.

Producer/co-writer Chris Morgan has confirmed that the next ‘Conan’ film will be called The Legend of Conan and Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role. It was also confirmed that the film is not a reboot, but instead will be a direct sequel to John Milius’ classic epic Conan: The Barbarian.

Chris Morgan also revealed that three actors from the original film would also reprise their roles as well. It was not mentioned who these actors are. The story is set 30 years after the original film. So, we’ll be seeing how old Conan has been crushing his enemies!

In a recent interview, Morgan explained how this sequel will remain loyal to Milius’ film with the same tone and level of brutality that we all saw in Conan: The Barbarian.

Conan 2

If this movie is to remain faithful to the original ‘Conan’ films, then let’s hope we get less digital blood splatters and more blood squibs! And how awesome would it be if they find a way to bring back James Earl Jones?!

The Legend of Conan does not have an official release date yet.

Now, what is best in life?

“To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!”
