Veteran Cinematographer Roger Deakins hired to shoot ‘Blade Runner’ sequel

With an already beyond impressive resume in cinematography, Roger Deakins has been added onto the crew for the ‘Blade Runner’ sequel being directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Sicario)

The twelve-time Academy Award-nominated cinematographer has shot a large collection of unforgettable films such as 1984, The Shawshank Redemption, Fargo, No Country For Old Men, and Skyfall.


Looking at Deakins’ body of work, it looks like he is the right man for the job. You can expect some amazing shots kind of how we saw in Skyfall. The color tones and camera movement used in Skyfall can easily be applicable to this futuristic sequel. But we’re just gonna have to wait and see what Mr. Deakins has in store for us.

Blade Runner

‘Blade Runner 2’ is shaping up real quick. Harrison Ford is coming back and Ryan Gosling has been rumored to be a part of the cast as well. No official plot or title has been released yet.


The original ‘Blade Runner’ was released in 1982 and was directed by Ridley Scott. We’ll keep ya’ll updated as more news on this sequel surfaces.
