Diego Luna Lands Lead Role in “Rogue One”!

Mexican actor Diego Luna (Y Tu Mama Tambien, Elysium) is set to star opposite Felicity Jones in the Star Wars anthology film Star Wars: Rogue One!

Even though Diego Luna is a very well known actor in Latin American cinema, he’s also been featured in some movies here in the U.S. such as The Terminal with Tom Hanks, Casa de mi Padre with Will Ferrell, and Milk with Sean Penn.

Reports are stating that Luna, Jones and Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler) will be playing the roles of the Rebel Fighters who stole the Death Star plans from the empire. So this film should take place before or during A New Hope.

I really like Luna’s work. The guy has some heavy talent.

Star Wars: Rogue One is being directed by Gareth Edwards. The same guy who directed last year’s blockbuster Godzilla with Aaron Taylor Johnson.

This Star Wars spinoff is shaping to be very interesting and it’s exciting to see a diverse cast headlining this anticipated film! We’re all very pumped to see how this turns out.

Star Wars: Rogue One is set to release December 16, 2016.
